We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Assistant Buyer who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, specifically at flea markets across Italy and France. This role is perfect for someone who has a passion for vintage items and possesses strong negotiation skills, with fluency in both French and Italian.
This position requires working with our Buying team for about 15 -22 days of the year and does require the ability to commit in advance to the dates of the events we will be attending.
Location: Italy or France (preferably Italy)

Key Responsibilities
Assist in translation and communication between our team and local vendors.
Engage in negotiations to secure the best prices and terms.
Manage all related paperwork and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Coordinate payment processes with vendors and manage financial transactions.
Liaise with our shipping company to ensure timely and safe delivery of purchases.
Attend early morning events; flexibility with schedule is a must.
Collaborate closely with a Lead Buyer proficient in French and English.
Comfortable with early starts and punctuality is essential.
Qualifications
Fluent in English, French and Italian.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about vintage items.
Ability to handle early morning schedules and extensive travel.
Confident Translation Skills in fast moving situations.
We are willing to train the right candidate for this role. Flea market experience is not necessary - but it is a plus.
Compensation
Competitive day rate based on experience.
