**Area/Shift Manager Role at Amazon**
In this hands-on role, you'll lead a large and diverse team to keep your area of the business in pace with demand. You'll gain experience about the complexity of operations at a global business and what it takes to make everything run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing.
* Analyse and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity are consistently high levels and business objectives are met across all shifts.
* Support and lead a team, handle administrative work, build and support a strong team culture.
* Analyse performance and suggest process improvements to optimize work and improve customer service.
* Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes.
A Day in the Life:
You'll work shifts at one of our operational sites. Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site. You'll also monitor and maintain process efficiency, prioritizing routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside individual escalations, process improvement work, and wide-scale operational contingency planning.
As a key part of the operations team, you'll work with colleagues in other teams and external partners to meet customer demands and targets. This involves analyzing data and performance metrics with leaders in your business area and discussing technical improvements with engineers.
Requirements:
* University degree (Bachelor's or Master's degree), completed before start date.
* Willingness to work in non-traditional shift patterns, including nights and weekends.
* Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English and local language.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
* Experience in a logistical working environment.
* Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
