Title: Business Development Account Manager
Salary: starting at €35,000
We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Account Manager to join our team in Milano.
This role will require an individual who will proactively engage and convert hot new business leads. They will conduct quality customer conversations to fact find and understand their needs and upsell and cross-sell solutions.
The successful candidate will need to possess excellent communication and customer service skills as well as strong commercial acumen to proactively engage and drive new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.
* Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits.
* Grow revenue by cross-selling services, engaging new clients, and meeting monthly/quarterly/yearly KPIs.
* Run webinars, podcasts, identify new opportunities, and attend industry events to network and represent the firm.
* Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
* Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
* Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) and prepare reports on account status.
* Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory.
* Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
* Maintain close relationships with partners, vendors and suppliers as appropriate.
* Keep abreast of both internal and external developments within the E-commerce world to ensure a working knowledge of sellers and industry.
* Supervise and support the work of more junior members of the business development team.
* Track all sales activities in the company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience
* Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role.
* Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including executive and C-level.
* Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel).
* Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
* Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
* Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English.
* BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field.
