Together, we shape the evolution.The OpportunityWe are looking for Merchant Risk Specialist that is part of 2nd Line of Defence Risk in Worldline Merchant Services Italia, and its primary responsibilities are to oversee the risk management framework governing merchant risk and manage the Risk Data Analyst in the company (Data quality)Under the responsibility of the local Chief Risk Officer, the Merchant Risk Manager tackles merchant risk (credit, fraud, payment schemes, integrity) and ensures that the risk/reward balance is consistent with the company's strategy.Merchant Risk Manager is responsible to contribute to the design and oversee the establishment of the risk reporting tool used for merchant portfolio reporting and steering. In this area, primary responsibilities are to oversee the risk resulting from the payment transactions of Worldline’s merchants and to provide user-friendly tools reflecting accurate portfolio data. The team strives to turn large amounts of data generated by payment transactions into unique insights, dashboards and KRIs. Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesCollaborations are established with product teams, operations, data engineers, and risk experts to plan, develop, and deliver projects related to merchant risk from start to finish, including all stages of project identification, stakeholder engagement, project management, and closeout. Committees Governance Merchant Risk Policies:Oversee the Merchant Risk Policy Framework within its scope of responsibilityContribute to the development and maintenance of the overarching merchant risk policiesControl the effective implementation by the 1st Line of Defence (Operational team) of the overarching merchant risk policiesControl the proper escalation to approval authorities for underwriting and acceptance decisions when requiredRisk Appetite Strategy:Contribute to the development and update of the Merchant Risk Appetite StatementMonitor and manage the KRI defined in the company and reporting to the Board and ManagementMethodologies Risk analytics:Contribute to the development of a Joint Merchant Risk Scorecard to improve the efficiency of risk assessment during the on-boarding and on-going due diligence processesTake ownership of special projects/studies deemed necessary to manage and increase understanding of risk issuesRisk identification Measurement:Contribute to the definition of merchant risk monitoring standards and KPIs KRIs at portfolio levelContribute to the definition of collateral/reserves requirementsReporting, Monitoring Control:Contribute to the development of merchant risk steering and portfolio viewEnsure that recurring and ad-hoc merchant risk reports meet quality standards and align in a timely manner with management needsImplement and perform controls and validations of the merchant risk process to ensure a high standard is met within the Underwriting Risk Monitoring team and the first line of defense in general regarding risk assessment and monitoringRisk Data Analyst Management:Contribute to the documentation of the business requirements provided to IT solutions project teams for the development of risk reporting analytics solutionsContribute to the design, the implementation and the maintenance of the Risk Data Management solution that fully supports risk data aggregation capabilities, sound risk reporting modelling practices and adequate risk monitoringParticipatenad coordinate data management initiatives regarding risk data (data quality, data governance, etc.).Management Relations with key stakeholders:Collaborate with the risk analytics experts to prepare reports that facilitate better understanding of riskBuild trusted internal relationships with sales and account managers and help them understand the risks in their portfoliosEnsure close collaboration with risk experts from 1st Line of Defence (Operational team) as well as with AML Compliance officers when developing merchant risk policies and risk management tools methodologiesSupport 1st Line of Defence (Operational team) in the provision to staff of guidance and training on merchant risk policies and standardsBuild and maintain an excellent knowledge of products, services and market characteristicsKeep up to date with regulatory requirementsManaging Security Internal controls : nature, scope, techniques of Security Internal Control System, control types )Reporting and monitoring : define KPI, Board reporting, Internal Committee ReportingDefine and managing Security Governance Framework (data classification, access control, policy formulation, incident response and compliance with legal and regulator standards.Carry out assessment, define gaps and managing action regarding regulatory law (DORA, EBA, etc).Who Are We Looking For:We look for big thinkers.
