About the Role
As a Business Development Manager at SIAE MICROELETTRONICA, you will join our newly established Business Unit "Services" with the mission to drive new business opportunities in the professional services sector for telecommunications operators.
We aim to deliver exceptional service to our customers and ensure their satisfaction.
In this role, you will lead the development of new business opportunities and be directly responsible for driving revenue growth by strategically developing new accounts across targeted markets.
You will collaborate closely with fellow sales colleagues, marketing and analyst teams to foster new client relationships and establish credibility as a trusted advisor.
Leveraging customer feedback, you will shape our professional services portfolio and craft compelling value propositions.
This position requires availability to travel up to 50% for customer meetings, international conferences, and industry exhibitions.
Responsibilities
* Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for professional services in collaboration with the Sales teams.
* Support Management and Sales teams by developing effective territory and customer strategies for professional services.
* Generate a robust services sales pipeline by aligning SIAE Microelettronica's solutions with customer needs, driving revenue.
* Collaborate with sales, marketing and product management teams to develop strategic sales approaches and enhance the service portfolio.
* Prioritize new prospect contacts, educate them on our offerings, and assess their buying interest and urgency.
* Develop a deep understanding of SIAE MICROELETTRONICA's value propositions and their relevance to target markets.
* Present and articulate SIAE Microelettronica value proposition to customer decision-makers across various sectors to generate interest and close deals.
* Establish a reporting structure to monitor and review sales progress and gross margin performance.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Electronic, Telecommunications, Management Engineering, Business Economics or related fields.
* 5 to 7+ years of technical-commercial experience in the Telecom industry, preferably with mobile or fixed network operators and within professional services.
* Knowledge of Value-Added Services and SaaS solutions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Fluent in English.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
* Passion for customer engagement and relationship building, with empathy and attention to client needs.
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
* Ability to work in dynamic, cross-functional environments.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in selling services such as: network planning; microwave network performance optimization; large-scale upgrades of installed Network Elements and Network Management Systems; applying AI for maintenance, predictive analysis, and network optimization; synchronization updates and security upgrades for microwave networks; engineering optical (WDM) and IP (DCN) networks.
