Our client is a leading Japanese Sogo-Shosha. The traditional role of a sogo shosha is to act as an intermediary in various types of trades. We select, set-up, structure and facilitate transactions by providing materials, inventory, financing, logistics and risk management.
Job Profile
For our chemical department, we are looking for a sales executive with excellent communication skills. Sales Executive responsibilities include generating leads, meeting sales targets, negotiating deals, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Mission:
* Conduct market research, seek out new sales opportunities through calling, visiting clients, networking and social media; preparing and sending quotes and proposals.
* Set up meetings with potential clients and participate in exhibitions.
* Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
* Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
* Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams.
* Manage and optimize current business accounts.
* Travel to various locations nationally and internationally as necessary.
* Correspond with suppliers and buyers and respond to inquiries.
* Due to the size of the team, commercial team members are also responsible for certain import-export administrative tasks related to their role.
Key skills and experience required
* The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years previous experience in sales in the industrial sector, preferably in the chemical sector and/or in a Japanese company.
* Good negotiation and influencing skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Fluency in other European languages (German?) is desirable but not necessary.
* Working experience with a Japanese company (in Japan or Europe) is desirable but not necessary.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), maintaining CRM.

* Results-oriented and flexible; adaptable, able to meet deadlines and work with all types of individuals based locally or at our overseas branches.

* Cross-culturally aware and adaptable.
* Residence in the Milano area or near the city is ideal but not necessary.
Type of Contract
The salary package will be commensurate with the actual experience and in any case able to satisfy even the most qualified candidates.
